My 23rd birthday - full of sweet surprises

My 23rd birthday was the sweetest of all my birthdays, and sweetest of all Valentines day..
I know it's been quite late that I write this entry, but anyways, thanks to all my good friends Shan Shan, Tze Fair, Li Na, Jennifer, Alex, and of course, GT.
For the 6th year we've been together (me & GT), this year was the 1st year that we're celebrating Valentines .. initially GT told me that he wanted to celebrate my birthday cum valentines at Citrus (on 14 feb nite), so he brought me there.. he said he wanna celebrate it early so that i can celebrate my birthday with my frens on the 15th or 16th. OK, fair enough, but i wasn't sure my close frens will be available for my special day, but i did have faith in them. And know what? That was the 1st time i've been "tricked"(in a positive manner) by him, and being wholly surprised by him together with my beloved friends. I felt so pampered and ... loved. I will never forget this special birthday celebration that has occurred to me once in a lifetime. The feeling was so .. undescribably .. wonderful. It was very very sweet, indeed, implanted in my heart, leaving a touched feeling stamped upon it.

When i was waiting for my food to come, suddenly, the lights went dimmed. Honestly, I thought it was one of the Valentines nite "tradition", to dim the lights so that the atmosphere was more romantic. Haha, innocent me, only to find out that Tze Fair & Shan Shan emerged from nowhere (only after that i knew that they were hiding in the washroom .. Ah, feel sorry for u both..), with Tze Fair carrying my birthday cake!! You see the look on my face, I was 100% very, very, surprised, and touched, of course ^-^ I guess it was because my happiness overpowered my feeling of touched, that was why I did not cry, because I'm a girl who would easily cry when feel touched..


This was the most gorgeous birthday cake that I've got, throughout 23 years of my life! It was very tasty too - oreo cheese cake!! The bear bear on top is now sitting sweetly in my car (poor thing it has been "injured" a bit from the candles, but anyway it is still healthy, and yes, very sweet-looking).

Me, myself & I. See that I was wearing the sparkling necklace that Shan Shan, Tze Fair, Li Na, Jennifer and Alex gotten for me? =) Shan Shan & Tze Fair couldn't help but keep saying that it looks pretty on me ^-^ , that it matches the clothes i was wearing. Haha, am i glad...

Another birthday surprise from CVs! Honestly, when the cake was handed out, i really thought it was another friend's birthday.. cos 1) it has only 2 candles on the cake (ok ppl, thanks for thinking that i'm 3 years younger, i forgive u, i love to be young anywayz, haha.. How good it is to be young ..) 2) I didn't think I was THAT lucky/honorable to receive another surprise birthday on the same night, at different places, not to mention 1 after another.






I took quite a long time to recognize my name on the b'day cake.. cos i really couldn't believe it's MY cake.. haha...






The dolphin is not my present though.. just borrowed someone's Valentine's present.. cos Tze Fair could not resist its cuteness! oh, i admit it's cute too..


So, all in all, these are the presents I've received that night --- 14 Feb 2009. I love them.


Another present received from my good old fren Hui Jiun - all the way from KL! haha.. given to me by her mum ... wow thanks. She is really sweet! Feel sorry that I have not given her any present (hers was a week b4 mine.. Forgive me for just sending her a b'day greeting through sms).. ok ok, next year.. next year...

On a side note, although i was super happy on 14 Feb, I was sad on my actual birthday (16 Feb 2009). WHY? Because, a guy "fren" of mine gave me a present that I could not receive, but I received it at 1st, then i have to give it back to him, which he got so angry that it almost broke our friendship.. then, our friendship was never the same again .. it hurts.
Anyway, when I think that I still have my close frens like LiNa & Jennifer (& of course, GT) who would always be there for me, there is no reason for me to be sad .. And I should treasure my good true friends, from the bottom of my heart, always & forevermore...........................
